Our mobile library project is making a significant impact and contributing to children’s access to books and learning materials, as well as their overall reading culture and educational opportunities. Over 30 schools within the greater Banjul area have directly benefited from this project.
We are taking books directly to schools through our mobile library and making a positive difference in the lives of children. Some key benefits of our project include:
1. Increased Access: Many schools that have benefited from this project do not have well-equipped libraries and resources, limiting the children’s access to books. Our mobile library is bridging this gap by taking books and learning materials to these schools and ensuring that children have access to a wide range of reading materials, regardless of their location and resource limitations.
2. Inspiration and Joy of Reading: We are promoting the joy of reading and a love for books and storytelling among children because reading enhances children’s language skills and literacy, and also encourages creativity, critical thinking, and imagination. Our mobile library is helping to create a positive reading environment that encourages children to explore new ideas and perspectives.
This project has contributed to the educational development of the community as a whole. Provided valuable resources to teachers, supported curriculum-based learning, and fostered a culture of reading and learning among students.
